Lead Cloud & Platform Architect
Momnt is an expanding financial technology company specializing in embedded lending and point-of-need consumer financing based in Sandy Springs, GA. We are transforming how merchants provide financing to their customers with our embedded lending platform. Our platform delivers a seamless digital experience that makes financing simple, fast, and affordable, connecting high-quality lenders with merchants, primarily in the home improvement sector, to empower consumers to pay for the things they need.
The Lead Cloud & Platform Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and directly operating the company's cloud and platform infrastructure. This is a true hands-on execution and leadership role that balances strategic cloud architecture with daily code deployment, platform ownership, SLAs, reliability, DR, security, and cost governance.
Our infrastructure is primarily managed through AWS CDK, so deep, hands-on expertise building and maintaining infrastructure with AWS CDK is strictly required. You won't just advise from the sidelines—you will actively build, secure, automate, and scale the systems supporting our platform while working closely with engineering leaders and developers.

Key Responsibilities as our Lead Cloud & Platform Architect, you will:
- Architect and write infrastructure-as-code for scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS solutions across compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Drive platform modernization (microservices, serverless, containers) using AWS CDK as the primary deployment framework.
- Manage multi-account strategy, landing zone design, IAM governance, and network architecture.
- Directly build, own, and maintain platform components, including CI/CD pipelines, shared services, deployment frameworks, and observability stacks.
- Own platform SLAs, uptime targets, performance baselines, root cause analysis/post-mortems, and overall operational reliability.
- Define, test, and maintain DR strategies, including failover design, RTO/RPO targets, and continuous DR testing cadences.
- Implement and enforce platform security (IAM, secrets management, encryption, SOC2 controls) and manage cloud spending/optimization (FinOps).
- Manage day-to-day AWS administration (VPCs, routing, backups, patching, CloudWatch/Datadog monitoring).
